How to place a call on hold using the iPECS phone system (iOS)

A guide to placing a call on hold using the iPECS application on your iOS device.

The following guide will teach you how to place a call on hold on the UCE app for iOS.

To begin, open the UCE app and log in. For information on how to log in to your UCE app, please see the ‘How to set up iPECS UCE softphone’ guide for iOS.

Select the ‘call’ icon from the toolbar at the bottom of the screen. As you type a number, matching contacts will show up from your iPECS Cloud Directory. Don’t worry if no contacts match - you can still place a call as normal.

Once in the call:

Press the speaker button to put your call on the loudspeaker.

Press the mute button to prevent the other party from hearing your end of the line.

The hold button will prevent either party from hearing each other.
