How to Enable Two-Step Verification and Google Authenticator

In this article we will show you how to enable two step verification on your devices and how google authenticator works.

As cyber threats continue to evolve, it's crucial to take steps to protect your organisation's data. Two-step verification, also known as two-factor authentication, is an easy and effective way to add an extra layer of security to your accounts.

Step 1: Download Google Authenticator

Google Authenticator is a free app available for both iOS and Android devices. Start by downloading the app from your device's app store.

Step 2: Enable Two-Step Verification in Scalefusion

Log in to your Scalefusion Dashboard and navigate to the 'Settings' section. Click on 'Security' and then 'Two-Step Verification.' Click on the 'Enable Two-Step Verification' toggle button to turn it on.

Step 3: Scan the QR code

Once you've enabled two-step verification, you'll be prompted to scan a QR code using Google Authenticator. Open the app on your device and select 'Scan a QR Code.' Hold your device up to the QR code displayed on your Scalefusion Dashboard and the app will automatically detect it.

Step 4: Enter the verification code

Once you've scanned the QR code, the Google Authenticator app will generate a unique six-digit code. Enter this code in the verification field on your Scalefusion Dashboard and click 'Verify.' You will then receive a message confirming that two-step verification is enabled for your account.
